Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parish partnered with Family Is a Gift in their common pursuit of upholding the gift of family.
Last November 10, 2018, a session on “Celebrating the Gift of Family” was held, attended by parishioners interested in the advocacy. Speaker Bro. Jomari Badilla, CFC leader from Central A and managing director of Sparks Asia, shared about his own family journey, describing each member of his family and how he and his wife worked together to build a family culture that inculcates values they strive to live by. He also talked about how looking back at their own families of origin helped them identify the values important to them, as well as new practices and traditions they have initiated with their children. He challenged the families to take the initiative to learn more about one another and love each other more.
Representatives from the Family Is a Gift team, Cha Lauchengco and Gredy Loyola hosted fun games “Bring Me” and “Face the Cookie” and gave away Family Is a Gift car stickers, Family Time magazines, and statement shirts from Ablaze Communications.
The participants also got to spend family time over a delicious meal after the program. Certificates and giveaways were distributed, and the day was capped with a souvenir photo at the Family Is a Gift photo wall.
